Fire crews are working to put out a wildfire that broke out around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton near Case Springs Road.
As of 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the wildfire — named Roblar Fire — stands at 1,000 acres and 85% containment, creating visible smoke across North County, but according to Camp Pendleton, there is no current threat to personnel or structures.
The North County Fire Protection District has also issued a smoke advisory but reiterated in an X post that there is no threat to the district at this time.

Additional areas expected to be impacted by the smoke include: communities south and east of Camp Pendleton, including Fallbook, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista and Bonsall. This is expected to continue through Tuesday.
In areas of heavy smoke near the fire, assume that air quality levels are unhealthy for sensitive groups to unhealthy for all individuals. In areas with minor smoke impacts, assume that air quality levels range from moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups, according to the The San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (APCD).
It's also recommended that if you are near the affected communities and smell smoke it is advised that you limit physical/outdoor activity. If possible, stay indoors to limit your exposure to fine particulate matter and ozone, especially those residents with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, and children.
