"American Idol" stars paid a visit to the Burbank school choir program that inspired the hit TV series "Glee," giving motivational advice to the scores of talented high schoolers.
Brandon Rogers from season 6, Eliott Yamin from season 5 and Kim Caldwell -- you'll recognize her as the correspondent for the new NBC lifestyle program "California Live" -- all made a special visit to
John Burrough’s High School Vocal Music Program for Music in Our Schools Month.

The "American Idol" stars had a few throwback moments with the students, telling them why they initially got into the choir world.

Yamin said he basically joined it for the girls. Rogers was in it for the stardom, clearly.
The stars boosted their spirits ahead of their out-of-this-world performance set for Friday at Burbank High School where they will sing "Star Wars" and other John Williams hits.
