Anthony’s Fish Grotto closed its downtown location on Jan. 31, now the iconic seafood restaurant is putting everything up for auction.
According to the auction website, there are 700 lots to bid on: things like deep fryers, refrigerators, and beer kegs. Grotto fans can even own one of the tables or booths.
Bidding is already underway for the restaurant supplies. The auction is online and closes March 7 at 10:00 a.m. People looking to bid on items can preview them March 6, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
As of 11:00 a.m. Thursday, a majority of the items still did not have bids. Others were at the opening bid price of $1.
The auction closes March 7 at 10:00 a.m.
Anthony's downtown location closed after 52 years on Jan. 31. The Port of San Diego chose not to renew the restaurant's lease.
