Paramedics rushed to the Poway High School pool just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday after reports of a drowning.
An unidentified 17-year-old student was found at the bottom of the pool, according to the Poway Fire Department. The student was pulled to the surface and paramedics were able to get the student breathing again, firefighters said.
The student was transported to Children's Hospital.
