If you've been steering clear of Comic-Con -- or would like to -- there are plenty of music events all over town to keep you occupied on Saturday. You can catch the annual Bro-Am Surf Contest and Concert at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, hosted and featuring Switchfoot. This year, don't miss Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors if you check out the event. The surf contests started at 7 a.m., with music starting at noon and running until about 5 p.m., which is the perfect time to head south for Grampa Drew's Flim-Flam review at the Whistle Stop. Of course, the Con is still on and tons of activities surround the event are scheduled, but sticking to music, by night you'll want to head to the Irenic for Cherry Glazzer (check for ticket availability because it was close to selling out), Porcelain Raft at Soda Bar, Holy Ghost at Silo, and the best party of the night, with local legends in the making, Mr. Tube, Shitzophonics, Madly and Badabing.
