It's hard to believe how time flies sometimes. All month, we've been talking about 25 years of the Casbah, but Friday really hits home for me, as I find it a little hard to believe that it was 20 years ago that I met Steve Poltz and have been friends ever since. While some people miss his crazy stage antics, he's certainly healthier, with a daily Bikhram yoga routine. And as the Rugburns frontman, he's going to need the stamina as the band rocks out with two shows -- a special matinee at 3 p.m. with food from Gaglione Brothers -- and a sold-out night-time show. With Truckee Brothers and the Macananys (one of my favorites in college) joining the fray, Friday is going to be a heck of a day and definitely one heck of a night.
