Today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. people from more than 20 regions all over California will be attending the “California Royal-Tea” event to welcome the Royal Couple of Cambridge.
The California Travel & Tourism Commission and the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting the “California Royal-Tea” event at the Alpine California Welcome Center at 5005 Willows Rd., Suite H110 in Alpine at the Viejas Outlet Center.
“All welcomes here are special because we are only one of 20 in the state that is located on authentic Native American land,” Jeanette Perez, the Director of the California Welcome Center in Alpine said.
The intent of this event is to greet the Royal Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their first official visit to California. The statewide toast will also encourage tourism all over California and gives San Diego a chance to showcase its amazing destinations.
Thanks to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a California-based coffee vendor, the “California Royal-Tea” event will enjoy complimentary cups of signature English Breakfast tea.
“We will be serving hot tea to people so they can make a royal toast to the couple. We also have tea shirts and tiaras available while supplies last,” Perez said.
Photos will be taken throughout the day to capture the royally themed celebration.
