At Barneys CO-OP, the Return of the DB Jacket

It’s not every day an item makes us want to say “put it on a plane” when we learn it’s not in stock locally. But this 3.1 Phillip Lim blazer at Barneys CO-OP is one of the best navy jackets we’ve encountered all season: the waist is appealingly nipped, the buttons are gold but not annoyingly so, and the fringed welt pockets provide the ladylike grace notes.

The rub? A sales associate tells us there isn’t a single one at any of the California boutiques. Luckily, you can have it shipped to the Fashion Valley location and if you don’t like it, it can be returned to the store.

While the $650 tag indeed puts it in the staple category, if you’re going to invest in a jacket, then snug double-breasted — a style soon to be ubiquitous — will look fresh for seasons to come.
