Normal 0 Doug Davis got his first victory in a month as the Arizona Diamondbacks matched their season-best four-game winning streak, beating the San Diego Padres 4-3 last night.
Davis allowed just two earned runs in his previous three starts but left each with a no-decision. He scattered nine hits last night, allowing two runs in 6-and-a-third innings.
It was the left-hander's first victory since beating San Diego 8-0 on June 5. Davis was 0-2 in five starts since then.
Kevin Kouzmanoff was 3 for 4 with two doubles for the Padres, who have lost six of seven. Kevin Correia allowed four runs, three earned, and six hits in six innings.
The Padres and D-backs wrap up their series this afternoon at 12:40 at Chase Field in Phoenix.
