The oh-so-versatile avocado loved on toast or in smoothies, will be celebrated Sunday, April 15 at the annual festival in Fallbrook.
Organizers are inviting you to enjoy live music, avocados, crafts, avocados and contests along with your avocados.
Children will compete in the "Best Dressed Avocado" contest as well as the "Avo 500" which pits contestants in races from the Community Stage.
Anyone who signs up by Friday for the Guacamole Contest can compete for either the best tasting dish or the one with the best presentation. Chips will be provided.
If you'd rather stroll around and enjoy the sights, the sounds and the snacking - you are welcome!
The event runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there is no admission charge. Find the fun at Main and Alvarado. Organizers suggest using one of the free shuttles to get to the fun hassle-free.
