Around here, we love Brian Karscig. He's been in countless local bands like Louix XIV, the Nervous Wreckords, and even a stint touring with the Killers --and his creative juices seem to flow endlessly. Tonight, he leads a stellar lineup at the Casbah along with buddies Dead Feather Moon (among others). It's going to be one of those fun nights where you rub elbows with local musicians and friends you maybe haven't seen in awhile. Soda Bar has a similarly compelling show headed by Birdy Bardot; The Expendables headline the big room of the House of Blues; and Chaos Chaos play a free show upstairs in the Voodoo Room. Looks like plenty of chances to kick off your weekend in a big way.
