A student has been charged after a mass stabbing left 14 people wounded at the CyFair campus of Lone Star College near Houston on Tuesday morning, authorities say.
Sara Kinney, with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, confirmed to Houston NBC affiliate KPRC that 20-year-old Dylan Andrew Quick is the suspect.
Quick has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office said Quick used a razor-type knife to stab the victims. Authorities said they found the handle to a razor-type knife in Quick's backpack when he was arrested.
Quick said he had fantasies about stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school and indicated that he had been planning this incident for some time, according to the statement he voluntarily gave investigators.
At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said he was believed to be the only person responsible for the stabbings.
Four of the 14 victims were airlifted to Houston-area hospitals, and two of them were in critical condition, according to the sheriff's office. Three of the injured have been upgraded to good condition and one has been discharged. Another two had declined transport to the hospital. Emergency responders told KPRC-TV in Houston that victims had been stabbed in the cheek, neck and shoulder and that all wounds were consistent with stabbing.
The rest of the student body is safe, officials said, and the entire campus was being searched for evidence.

Earlier in the afternoon, officials had said someone had attacked students in multiple buildings as they walked to class. Police believe that initial reports of two attackers stemmed from the attacks taking place in multiple locations, but that only one person was responsible for the stabbings.
"At this point ... we have one suspect in custody. As far as we know he is the only suspect at this point," said Thomas Gilliland, with the sheriff's office. "It was the same suspect going from building to building."
Gilliland said the attacker was wrestled to the ground by students before being taken into custody by campus police.
In a statement on its website earlier in the day, Lone Star College had said the campus was on lockdown and was in the process of being evacuated by campus law enforcement, after which it would be closed for the remainder of the day. All other LSC campuses remain open and on their normal schedule.
In January, three people were wounded in a shooting on the Lone Star College North Harris campus when two men got into a fight after bumping into each other. One of the men, Trey Foster, was later arrested in Dallas and charged with resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The CyFair campus is one of more than a dozen Lone Star College campuses and centers spread across the Houston area. Lone Star College has an estimated enrollment of 90,000 students. Officials said on any given day there are approximately 7,000 students on the CyFair campus.
