The driver of a motorcycle and his passenger suffered serious injuries when the driver lost control when coming around a curve, San Diego County Sheriff deputies said.
The crash happened on the 19000 block of San Pasqual Valley Road near Escondido at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The driver, a man in his 30s, lost control of the motorcycle as he came around a curve, hitting nearby rocks, deputies said.
His female passenger, a woman in her 20s, suffered a possible broken femur. The man suffered a compound right arm fracture. Both patients were taken to the hospital.
A Sig Alert was issued for the road as deputies investigated.
The SDSO's Traffic Division is investigating.
