Scripps Health was named among the top 15 health systems in the nation Monday by the international business research firm Truven Health Analytics.
Truven Health Analytics conducted a study analyzing data from 338 health systems and 2,912 member hospitals. The study looked at inpatient outcomes, process of care, extended outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience.
The study also found that overall mortality rates for winning health systems were 14.7 percent lower compared to non-winning health systems. Emergency department wait times were also 12.3 percent lower.
This is the fourth time Scripps Health has made it to the top 15 list.
Scripps is the only health care system in Southern California to make the list this year.
