The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) is investigating a homicide after a man was found on the sidewalk in the 4500 block of Pacific Highway around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Steven Barnes, 65, had cuts and trauma to his chest, and despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are now investigating.
The man’s identity is unknown and there is no suspect description at this time.
