A child was one of two people injured in an accident involving a popular ride at the San Diego County Fair.
The ride, Techno Power, was shut down while fair officials investigate what went wrong.
A safety official said the ride had come to a stop and riders were about to dismount when the ride started moving again.
One rider, a 13-year-old girl, was transported to Rady Children's hospital with unknown injuries a fair spokesperson said.
The ride operator, who was helping riders get out of their seats, was also injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital.
Techno Power is a six-legged ride that lifts passengers up off the ground, twisting the cars while spinning around.
The ride is shut down pending an investigation.

According to the San Diego County Fair website, passengers must be 48" tall to ride Techno Power.
The fair safety official said this is the first accident involving this ride at the county fair.
