Emergency crews from Solano County rescued a construction worker who was trapped about 30 to 35 feet below an irrigation a pipe.
The incident was reported just after at 12:37 p.m. Monday on Route 160, just south of Route 12 in rural Sacramento County, according to the Rio Vista Fire Department. Firefighters said the worker was semi-conscious after suffering an unknown medical emergency and was unable to remove himself.
Crews were able to rescue the man, who was treated on scene before being transported to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
